Learning Chinese (Mandarin) over Tea
About
Join us for a beginner's lesson of learning the Chinese (Mandarin) Language! We will cover lesson one of the HSK 1 standard course which will introduce you to the initials and finals of Chinese pinyin, and the four tones. By the end of the session, you will be able to read and pronounce Chinese words based on pinyin, and be able to use simple greetings.
The study group will be limited to 7 guests, allowing an intimate and interactive session. There is an increasing recognition of the value of informal learning spaces, we hope that you'll enjoy the journey of learning a new language over tea (and treats) and meeting new study group mates.
This workshop is for adult beginners. No prior experience or knowledge is necessary. All materials will be provided, there is no need to bring anything to the workshop. Please feel free to bring your own stationery if you'd prefer. 7 guests per session. Saturday November 23th. Guilford Street, London WC1N 1DP.
